Each person named on the account will need to provide one proof of identity and one proof of address from the list below:
The following documents are required to open an account:
Photo ID
  • Current signed passport/ driving license
  • Non-UK nationals must provide a passport with a valid visa
Proof of address
  • Bank /mortgage statements (within the last 3 months
  • Utility Bill- gas, electric, water, telephone, contractual mobile (within the last 3 months)
  • Council tax bill (dated within 6 months)
  • Current UK photo driving license
A maximum of two people can be named on an account and have access to the Safe Deposit Box. If you cannot open the account together you can always add a second person
There are two keys provided per safe deposit box, these are the only copies.

Yes. We are registered with the Financial Conduct Authority under Registration No. 973318.
You are insured with two keys at the time of registration. If you have lost one or both keys, you should notify us immediately so that the account can be blocked. If you lose one key, we can replace the lock in your presence with a charge of £100 to you. If you lose both keys, we will have to arrange a locksmith to drill your lock out. you will need to sign a
Only you and any additional account holder can access your Safe Deposit Box. Sentinel Vaults or any third person have NO access.
Yes. Our private viewing has no cameras. You have complete privacy.
No. only you and any additional account holder will know the contents of your Safe Deposit Box. We do not recommend you keep a detailed inventory, valuables of your items, and pictures of your items for insurance purposes.
Anything that is illegal or constitutes the proceeds of crime, i.e. e-money laundering, chemicals drugs, items which are noxious, poisonous, corrosive, inflammable, explosive or unstable, guns, knives, firearms, or ammunition.
We are open 365 days a year.
Mon – Wed 10 am – 4pm
Friday 10 am -2 pm
Saturday and Sunday 10 am – 2 pm
The last entry into the Vault is 20 mins before all closing times.
We will give you a complimentary £ 10,000 cover when you first take a box out. You can increase the limit up to £ 50,000. You can take out the additional insurance. If you click on the Insurance tab. keeping a safe Deposit Box should not be seen as an alternative to insuring your valuables. You must always be assured you have adequate insurance coverage.
If you are the sole account holder of the Safe Deposit Box, the person reporting the death should bring a copy of the death certificate to our office. The certificate will be logged into our system and returned. No items can be removed until probate is granted. If there is an additional account holder on the box, they may continue to have unrestricted access to your Safe Deposit Box in the event of your death. The additional account holder may nominate themselves as the main account holder and will be responsible for future payments of the box.

Sentinel Vaults will give you £ 10,000 cover when you first register for a safe deposit box. You can increase the cover, for your valuables upto £500,000.
